My favorite place in all of Porto. Bringing out the unusual illusion of an artistic self that I very much want more of. This is a place to write poetry, eat delicious food, drink green wine and forget life’s worries. My inspiration for returning yet again to Porto. ????
Si check this place out and try the ameijoas!
Ambiance is excellent. Great vibe. All 4 dishes we tried were excellent, the only problem was we ordered 5. When I tried to explain, it seemed they didn't understand. Also ordered sparkling water. It was never brought to the table. I tried to order more food, but even by European standards I felt I waited too long (about 20 minutes to place second order), and gave up. When the bill came I was just over it, everything we ordered was on the bill. We just hadn't received it. Only speaking English seemed to be a real disadvantage tonight. Great food, bad service. I paid the full bill and left. Probably wouldn't return.
Positives. Cheap. House red wine is fine and it’s a nice looking place. Negatives. Selection of starters put on the table immediately (although they do say you don’t have to have them). Food is so so bland. Octopus like rubber. “Steak” is super tough. Seafood rice watery and had what I hope weren’t crab sticks in there. Really disappointing. Smoking is allowed inside. Cash only was the icing on the cake. Avoid!
