This just might be my new favorite place for pizza. I've had this place bookmarked for so long but I rarely go out to little Italy but today was a beautiful day! Parking sucked but I was able to find a parking structure a block down. The farmers market was also going on so it was very lively. Napizza was just located right on the corner. What I ordered: mix and match 6 slices or more .50 cents off each slice. -truffle porcini (my favorite) -meat trifecta -bapo -lasagna -bbq chicken -breakfast pizza The pizza were all premade and then reheated once you order. The crust was perfect. Not too thick with the perfect amount of crispiness. They were not stingy with topping either. The slices looked small on the pictures shown via yelp but they were actually much bigger lol my boyfriend and I both only had a slice each with leftovers  The truffle was is definitely my favorite !!! It was also my first time having a breakfast pizza and the egg was perfect! Prices: with 6 slices, the total came out to be about $30. Alittle pricey,But this is some dang good pizza!
We were looking for tacos on our first night in San Diego but our walking journey took us to Little Italy. That in itself was a magical experience. When we found Napizza, we were greeted with incredible customer service that was eager to help but quick and efficient. The pizza is already made and they stick it in an oven to heat it up (much like NYC). During the short wait, I read about how their dough is unique: yeast with Roman imported flour fermented for 72 hours. Fresh, local, organic toppings. All of this added up to an INCREDIBLE pizza experience ***edited I was so excited to take my kids to experience this amazing pizza only to be incredible disappointed. This time the pizza was dry, the crust was burnt, and the toppings were minimal. Based on my second time here, I'd not likely ever try it again.
Wow, this is some damn good pizza! Walking in, the shop is small but there is a huge display case with all the available pizzas for the day with the names and toppings. The menu is clearly labeled and a few employees are around to help out and check in with you. We decided to share a few slices today, the La Lasagna, 4-cheese, and truffle porcini. The three slices totaled $17. First off, across the board the crust is amazing. Not too thick but a super crispy bottom when the pizza is re-cooked to the perfect temperature. The slices come out nice and hot and everything is still fresh with a great bite. The Truffle Porcini was a favorite of everyone and it was delicious! Topped with porcini mushrooms, truffle paste, mozzarella, and parsley, the truffle sauce made for a messy but delicious slice while all the mushrooms gave a bold, rustic, and meatiness to it! The La Lasagna was the second favorite, topped with bolognese, mozzarella, parmigiana, and drizzled with besciamella. A good amount of meat from the bolognese, gooey cheese, and the besciamella added the perfect touch. Although still great just the last favorite, we think this was the four cheese. We didn't notice that the description had, if it did, "chicken" on it because the slice we were given had chicken. Luckily we all like chicken and don't have a problem with it, we just wish the slice was cheesier. Overall, still good flavors with juicy chicken. Super happy with this place and hope it branches out to LA!
