Nicely cooked tuna sashimi, halibut and prawns have an appetizing taste. The chef at this restaurant cooks good chocolate cakes, meringues and biscotti. Delicious wine, whiskey or Mimosas will make your meal even more delicious and you'll surely come back. This place is known for great fresh juices, hot chocolate or tea.

There is a lovely view from Navio. Many visitors point out that the staff is knowledgeable at this place. Terrific service is something clients agree upon here. Poor welcoming experience. Hostesses were rude. Even in a less chic restaurant where I would be more forgiving for these type of things, it would have ruined my experience. No proper welcome, a long waiting time before being seated (they want you to seat exactly at the reservation time), no waiting area with special accommodation, they were both haughty even when conducted to the table. Seated at the 3rd row while a lot of table available 2nd row (1st row needs an extra $50 fee per person - insane to do per person and not per table!!!!). This first part definitely ruined the experience. We were there to celebrate but anyway!! Food is overall good but nothing really innovative. Some are a little bit fat, they could really make things lighter and more modern. Favorites: wagyu burger, short rib (but really fat, couldn't finish) cheese, lobster. The rest is just ok! It's definitely overpriced but you pay for the view. I want to say you pay for the experience of dinning in a nice hotel but because the welcome was not good, I feel that I paid way too much ($530 for 2 people all included).

The first impression is everything so this review is about the hostess as I felt they had ruined our appetite.  I give the restaurant 3 stars for their food but want to write the review about our experience from the start. We stayed at the Ritz and wanted to have a special dinner for my wife's birthday.  We invited 2 of our friends from San Jose to join us and asked them to come early before our reservation at 8:15pm. We went to checkin with the hostess at 7:30pm and let them know everyone are here.  They told us to wait until 8pm before they can seat us that I understand as we were early.  There was no waiting area at the restaurant so they asked to go outside and wait in the hotel lobby.  I didn't expect this at fine dining restaurant without a welcoming seating area for guests.   We came back to check with hostess at 8:05pm and they asked us to wait for 5 more minutes for the table to be ready.  We decided to stand around at the corner of the front entrance since we didn't want to go back to the lobby.  I noticed there were couple of empty tables especially the one at the front that we got seated later on.   My wife felt tired from waiting and asked me to check with them the third time at 8:13pm (I have made her happy).  They told me that I still have 2 minutes before the reservation so the table is not ready.  I asked them how could they know that the table will be ready in 2 minutes but not a minute earlier.  To my surprise, they came to us at exactly 8:15pm and led us into the front table which has been empty since 8:05pm.   I believe they didn't have service staff to allow us into the restaurant early.  However, they should have a proper welcome area to allow the guest to relax with complementary drinks or something.  I feel the fine dining experience should start from the time the guest arrive at the restaurant but not at the reservation time.  The experience at the start had definitely ruined our overall dining experience.  I don't recommend it unless you can come at the exact reservation time.

Navio is incredible.  We go there periodically for celebrations and date nights.  The food is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chef always has wonderful flavor combinations and presentations--it's such a treat to eat there!  Service is always amazing and staff is super attentive. As a bonus: If you have Celiac, they are definitely safe. The staff is friendly and respectful of food allergies.  I have always eaten there safely and been able to eat pretty much anything on the menu.  The best part is that they often prepare the food gluten free anyway and it's the additions or extras that make it not safe--so for my dishes, they have a GF alternative every time.   It's just fantastic to have such wonderful food and to know that the staff is doing their very best to keep me safe.  Love Navio!
