This isn't close to where we live, probably a 40-45 minute drive and it was worth every. single. minute. in the car. Be prepared to wait unless you called in your order. Today was our 2nd visit and unfortunately, the phone number didn't work, probably because people were anxious for their INCREDIBLE burritos and food. You can smell the wonderful food when you park your car in the parking lot. We walked in to order. There are a fair amount of tables to sit down and eat/enjoy! We ordered 4 burritos (had to make it last through the weekend, they are closed Sunday and Monday!): lunch chicharrón burritos with papas AND beans and Christmas chile. We also ordered a 1/4 pound chicharrón meal (served with your choice of chile and a delicious tortilla) because the chicharrones are amazing! Crispy outside, meaty, juicy, delicious. These burritos are literally almost 2 pounds. I personally would never be able to finish one in a single sitting. Let me tell you, they are absolutely wonderful reheated. While we waited (25-30 minute wait, worth it) we ordered coffee, a churro (cooked fresh) and a cinnamon roll from the coffee stand. Maravilloso! This wonderful local restaurant has the best customer service! We were asked, as we left, if we'd like to try the beef jerky and let me tell you, it was just as fantastic as all of the food we've had, and SPICY! Be prepared! I'm so happy to live in a city with such wonderful food, especially the New Mexico Beef Jerky Company!!
