This is actually the second time here for me.  My husband have been coming here for lunch many many times. He loves all the fresh fish they served here.   I got the special of the day.  Fried sword fish with crab sauce.  It did not taste like crab.  It tasted like a cream sauce.  I have to put a lot of salt on it. I don't think it was seasoned.  It came with rice/brown rice, salad or Mac salad. I got the brown rice with Mac salad.  The fish itself was fresh as expected.  The surprising part was that Mac salad was by far the best I ever tasted.  I think they put relish in it. I really love it ! My husband got fish & chips. That's his favorite.   They actually have quite a selections not just fish.  I would go back again. It's super casual.  Order with the cashier, paid, you go & pick up at the counter when your food is ready.
I always get the same thing every time I go to Nicos. Furikake Ahi. Since this was my first time going for dinner (take out), I didn't know that the Furikake Ahi plate came with rice and mixed veggies (carrots and green beans), instead of the usual tossed greens/macaroni salad. I like vegetables, so I was happy about it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because although I ordered the ahi to be cooked medium, I feel like the fish is always more well done. Maybe because it's take out and it cooks more by the time I actually eat it, but still. Service was fast and there's always sufficient parking. Plus, the live music while we were waiting for our food is always nice.
French fries fried in truffle oil!! Outstanding also the view!
