Considering the environment they find themselves in, I commend their bravery in solely selling Italian foods. Another "Italian" restaurant across has had to adapt to selling more South African foods than anything.

Back to Nonna's, they serve my absolute favourite pasta and their multi-topping pizzas are reasonably satisfying. Unfortunately, even though most of the staff is friendly, the teller isn't well acquainted with any good customer service basics. And, the staff isn't helpful at recommending food, which is a pity, as most students on campus are intimidated by their all-Italian menu.

But, they are a great restaurant and a welcome difference to the uniform establishment.

A modern take on classical Italian foods. Carbohydrates and starch based meals are the order of the day here. Simple decor works really well considering the environment. This eatery is a favorite for students and sportsmen who are trying to get their daily carb intake. The service can't be commented on but the display, process and style is well thought out and makes the food more enticing to potential customers who are passing by. Food is generally freshly prepared. The major disappointment is how bland the flavors are... It's almost as though they're attempting to make the food palatable to everyone & thus won't pursue the combinations to their full potential. Some great ideas in theory but the execution consistently let's it down. Everywhere from Pizza to Pasta to Wrap.

Love their pizzas and pasta :D their portion is just enough. Not too big, not too small. Even though during lunch hours it is really packed and most of the time you will have to wait for more pizza to be made. But definitely worth the wait
