An intimate restaurant with excellent food and service. We loved every minute of our experience at L'Oro. The food was all incredible. The homemade tiramisu was one of the best things I had on our trip to Italy, especially paired with hot grappa. Matteo ensures everyone has a great experience.
Great food !! Great service, family business, cosy ambiance
L'Oro di Siena surpasses all restaurants we have tried during two weeks in Tuscany. The place has only six tables, so we got superlative attention from the sole waiter. He explained what each dish was and made excellent recommendations, including the wine (which is sold only by the bottle). His mother cooks all the dishes. We started with the Tuscan sampler. Everything was so delicious. Then came the pasta. The tortelloni took me into a fourth dimension. My wife said it made her cry. We also had the nearly-as-incredible cici pasta. We shared a pork-eggplant-goat cream secondi. It was very good, but didn't top the pasta (how could it?). Finally a dolci of a chocolate ball filled with marscapone. With wine it came to 135 Euros for two people, but worth it in my opinion.
