My family decided to take me to The Oceanaire Seafood Room on International Dr., in Orlando for Mother's Day.  Many of my friends and colleagues had suggested we go for some time so we finally made the trip over.  If you are looking for a fine dining establishment or the freshest Seafood Restaurant for any special occasion, a date night or entertaining clients this is a MUST dine.  From the personal greeting at the front door to our Fabulous server Scotty who gave us top notch service and wonderful recommendations. Everything that arrived at our table from the warm bread to the delightful cocktails (Macaroon Martini and a lovely Mimosa since it was Brunch) were DeLish! We started with a few appetizers.  The Main Lobster Cakes and the  Fried Calamari.  I am craving them again just typing in the words.  We had never had Lobster Cakes and these did not disappoint. Crisp on the outside delicious and lots of Lobster on the inside.  I'm a big Calamari fan if it's prepared correctly and this was made to perfection and had a lovely Lemon Basil Aiioli as the dip.   Now for the pièce de résistance, we ordered Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes, The Scotty Special which was the New England Sea Scallops  with sauteed Lobster Meat prepared Black and Blue, I had the Hawaii Pumpkin Nairagi Marlin also prepared like the Scallops and lastly the New Zealand King Salmon.  As side dishes we shared the Brussel Sprouts and the Truffle Whipped Potatoes. I have to tell you that one dish was more amazing then the other!  The Crab Cakes really were 90% Crab and we had never had a more delicious Crab Cake and we've had them all over the country.  The Scotty Special had lots of generous sized Scallops prepared to perfection and just melted in your mouth.  The Salmon was super fresh and prepared with a lemon butter simple and perfect.  Lastly, the Marlin which is an item that is rarely on the menu was grilled and the Lobster Meat along with the Black and Blue which stands for Black Pepper and Blue Cheese Butter is a delightful combination that was perfect on the Marlin.  Thanks to Scotty's  knowledge since he's been there for 10 years he knows all the items on the menu and can testify what his guests will like. Ask for him when you come in! Lastly we had to end with a little fresh brewed coffee and 3 decadent desserts to share.  All are huge and we could have ordered 1 for all 4 of us. The Carrot Cake, Creme Brulee and amazing Key Lime Pie.  OK, all three were to die for but the favorite was the Key Lime Pie.  We go to Key West often and like to try different Key Lime Pies all week to see whose is the best.  Well the Oceanaire's Key Lime Pie would win hands down over all the Key Lime Pies in Key West.  Thank you Scotty and thank you to the GM Engel Colon. We were extremely impressed with all of the staff their impeccable service and great attitude.  What an amazing establishment you have and tell the chef that you all made my Mother's Day Memorable.  We'll be back and we'll be sure to bring friends!
