Come here for a meal after seeing Longyear Museum. Japanese dishes are on the menu at this restaurant. You may be offered such food as good nigiri, salmon sashimi and yummy salmon, come here and try.

Food delivery is an important benefit of Oishii Sushi Bar. The friendly staff at this place can demonstrate how much they like their guests. The terrific service is something these restaurateurs care about. From the guests' point of view, prices are average. The atmosphere of this place is fantastic. The Zagat rating reports that food at this spot deserves 4.5 stars.

EeewwwSHI - My wife and I have been patrons of Oishii - both in Chestnut Hill and in Boston for many years. Always good food, always overpriced, and with the Chestnut Hill location in particular - cramped and sporadic rude service. Recently, we had a very bad experience at CH, and realized the fish stinks at the head. During a lunch visit, my wife ordered a Bento Box. Although the chicken tasted a little funny, she continued to eat it - and within the hour she became violently ill. She remained seriously ill (description not appropriate) for the rest of the day. The following day, my wife called simply to let them know. The owner/chef got on the phone- listened to her story - immediately became defensive - asked her if she had visited the hospital - and when she responded "no" - he stated "then you have no proof!" and he hung up the phone. My wife called simply to let him know what happened and possibly have him avoid poisoning additional people. Individuals who own and manage a high end restaurant - that don't care about the food they are feeding people - should not be in business. We will never step foot in an Oishii again. For people that love sushi - my recommendation is to go to O Ya, Crudo, Douzo, etc....BUT you should avoid this place at all costs!
Best sushi around. Expensive but worth it. Black Cod appetizer was outstanding. Often a wait to get a seat so go off hours or be prepared for a wait.
Tiny, busy. Get there early before noon for lunch. Recommend the bento or lunch specials for best deal.
