Had higher expectations given their IG is followed by some folks I refer for food guidance, but Orvay fell short of satisfactory in kitchen and service. Pro: -Clean and hip decor -Central location -Bilingual staff -WiFi to facilitate menu viewing Con: -Disregard of price discrepancy between bill and menu. When I pointed it out, the response was a shrug and “oh” I’m not in a mood to go back and forth with the waitstaff over this afterwork, so it would’ve been great had he taken care of it without further discussion. Change was not made with no explanation. I didn’t press further as I was tired -Frumpy by the glass wine list. The bottle list is more updated and fun. Given the wine selections at other nearby hip restaurants, it was bizarre to see this, especially at an eatery where they sell experimental dishes -Nice IG-worthy presentation. But every dish I ordered had super sweet component.
