Once the promenade around the Port of San Francisco is over, visit Out the Door. The menu of this restaurant is recommended to Vietnamese cuisine lovers. It's worth coming to Out the Door because of perfectly cooked pork buns, beef noodle soup and steamed pork. At this place people can delve deep into delicious dishes, and try good doughnuts. The whole impression won't be complete without wine that is delicious here. This place has good iced coffee or good vietnamese coffee among its drinks.

At this spot, you can get a takeout. Many visitors mention that the staff is courteous here. The cool service is a big advantage of this restaurant. Attractive prices are what you will pay for your meal. Most guests suppose that the atmosphere is comfortable here. But Out the Door is not highly estimated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

Review is for the grab-and-go auxiliary location to the Slanted Door. Overall experience here is kind of mediocre. Lemongrass entree was not good. Coffee boba very watered down. In my opinion, there are better options in the Ferry Building itself and in the wider Embarcadero area. But others in my party (and the Yelp consensus) enjoyed the spring rolls and buns.

Haven't been here in awhile.  Went by the other night and the food was really bad. Not remotely as good as it used Won't go back again.  There are so many other options for Vietnamese food that are not all hype.

Looking for a decently affordable and deliciously prepared lunch spot in San Francisco's trendy Ferry Building? Look no further than Out the Door and nice fast casual spin-off of the revered Slanted Door restaurant located on the other side of this location. Owner Charles Phan has been creating elevated Vietnamese cuisine for what feels like a generation now with multiple locations of both their high-end restaurant and their fast casual concept doting the city in various locations. Now they seemed to have stayed grounded in this small location in said Ferry Building serving the hundreds of nearby lunch-goers who work in the area and visit this local institution. I came with a work friend who was looking for a quick bite but was interested in dining on something more exotic yet fulfilling to the taste buds. After walking around the Ferry Building around lunch time, which is close to my work and gets very busy with people around that hour every weekday, we settled on Out the Door, with its accessible and descriptive menu options. Although they have a lot of daily specials as a part of their menu, many of which are gluten-free, we both opted for one of their regular dishes on their rice/ noodles menu. My friend opted for something light and ordered their Lemongrass tofu served on a bed of white rice, while I opted for something heavier with their Crispy Duck and Green Salad also served over a bed of rice. To wash down my meal, I ordered a simple yet refreshing iced tea. Served in compostable paper bowls, they give you enough food for a full lunch and a little snack for later. Everything is cooked to order, which during a lunch rush means that everything takes a longer time to come out. We dined out on the Embarcadero, where the plaza and Ferry Building converge basking in the sunlight. Nothing of our meal was greasy or overwrought and this was a delightful lunchtime meal to savor with an abundance of perfectly seasoned duck pieces with equal parts rice and fresh salad. Would I return to sample some more of their delectable dishes at Out the Door? In a San Francisco minute! Here's to hoping to years of Out the Door's success and future additional locations in the city, which can no doubt be difficult, as they have found out before, but times change and so too can their business success.
