Seriously good! If you're in the Scottish Borders and are looking for a vibrant café offering a delightful menu of vegan and vegetarian dishes, Out-There Artisan is a must-visit The cafe is in a beatiful countryside setting, has a warm & inviting vibe, with a lovely courtyard and indoor seating area that reflects their commitment to quality (loved the copper coloured stainless steel cuttlery - nice touch!) The menu exclusively features vegetarian and vegan options and it’s clear they've a strong purpose and passion behind their food. For lunch I had the red pepper houmus & feta filled flatbread & my partner dove into the sriracha halloumi bagel. Both dishes were not only creative & delicious, but they were also beautifully (& confidently) presented. It's strange sometimes what sticks in your head, but I got to try a bit of the bagel - the guacamoli *chefs kiss* What stood out most though, was the dedicated front of house & waiting staff. They worked tirelessly, stayed calm even though it was very busy & were super-friendly. They really made us feel welcomed and valued I want to give a mention to the products at the till too. You know, it's a small thing, but I don't recall there being any plastic! I liked the bee bombs (these wee guys need our help) and small-batch products from local suppliers I'm really glad we visited. Five stars for providing a lunch experience that aligns with greener lifestyles. Well deserved.
