We travel extensively, and love visiting Outbacks wherever we go. Late afternoon today, we "tried" to enjoy a meal (10th Street, Ft. Lauderdale) , and, well, we were so disappointed. Is it the management? Or lack of training? Ordered coffee, before dinner. It came out cold, and it took asking 3 servers for a hot cup, which took 20 minutes. The prime rib sandwich came out without the au jus. We had to request it, and of course, had to wait for it. The hamburger came out without the ketchup, mustard, extra onions. It took forever to get help with that. By the time these condiments arrived, the hamburger was cold. I asked for extra chives on the baked potato. No, it didn't arrive, until I flagged down another server. By the way, it was only 4:20, and the restaurant was not busy. Not once did the server check on us after our meal was served (by another server, by the way). Anything we needed, we had to flag down another server. We chatted with another customer who was equally as frustrated. We would have spoken with a manager, but never saw anyone who looked in authority. It was like being in a fast food restaurant with an unprofessional staff of young people. We have always put Outback Steakhouse's on a pedestal: The high standard of service, the outstanding attitudes of the staff, the amazing food...this establishment is lacking. There's a plethora of other Ft. Lauderdale restaurants in the area. Do yourself a favor and move on. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
