After enjoying Pelican Feeding, go to this restaurant that is not far away. Australian cuisine is to guests' liking at Zone Restaurant. The recipe for success of this place is its perfectly cooked rack of lamb, salt and pepper squid and kangaroo. Try delicious martinis, cordial or house wine. This spot offers you to try good juice, pelican or tonic. Visitors don't highly appreciate sundaes at this restaurant.
Select between indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of people say that the bar staff is pleasant at this place. The homey ambiance makes a positive impression on reviewers. But Zone Restaurant is not highly appreciated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

Honestly was worried with the 3.7 rating but glad the food was good. Try to get oceanview tables. Had one of the specials: boarfish with roast potatoes & veggies. Perfectly seasoned fish & veggies. Potatoes were crispy on the outside. Kids napolitana pasta went down well too. Boys had steak which they enjoyed. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I had an exceptional experience at Zone Restaurant & Bar, so much so that my partner and I dined there twice during our 4-day trip to Kangaroo Island. The dinner was exquisite, set against the backdrop of the beautiful seaside scenery. Every dish was executed flawlessly, with the Beef Ribs standing out as particularly memorable. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. They went out of their way to accommodate us, especially considering we had a baby stroller with us. They were proactive in finding us a suitable seating arrangement and checked in with us after the meal to ensure we were satisfied with our dining experience. I highly recommend Zone Restaurant & Bar to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island. The combination of outstanding food, picturesque setting, and exceptional service makes it a must-visit. The views are great but not much else is. It has the ambience of a 7-11 (despite the hotel's heritage). The food was cooked well enough, but the menu is unexciting: 5 out of 10 standard mains are burgers or schnitzels. The service was very amateurish (e.g. mains delivered before we had finished our entrees) and the free desert to compensate never arrived. Try the atmospheric Italian bistro across the road, or the Penneshaw Hotel further afield, to see how well it can be done.
