Such a cool institution! Love that they serve you house wine while you wait for your table. The staff is so nice, and the seafood is delicious and in large portions - come hungry! If you’re under 60 and haven’t been going there for decades, stay away! We had the clam chowder and two different fish entrees. The chowder was watery and the few clam bits were old and rubbery. Both fish entrees were wet, overcooked, and flavorless. Combine the terrible quality of the meal with the half hour wait and the $100 price tag for two and Pacific Cafe is a waste of an evening. The restaurant is steeped in nostalgia that may resonate with its ancient patrons but comes across as a limping relic to first timers.
