After visiting Los Angeles Maritime Museum, you may have a meal at this restaurant. The truth is that you will really enjoy tasty prawns, fajitas and fish. Try good friands. Delicious port wine is the best drinks of Pan-Pacific.

The terrific staff welcomes guests all year round. The prompt service is a big plus of this place. Prices here are reported to be attractive. But this spot hasn't achieved a high rating on Trip.

So after the Lobster Festival debacle (see my review for details), we decided to head next door to Pan-Pacific Restaurant.  We had passed by Pan-Pacific while proceeding to the Lobster Festival and vowed to return for a try, little did we know it would be so soon! The experience started decently - no wait at all (thank God after what happened @ the Lobster Festival) and we were greeted by a smiling Korean gentleman who promptly took our order.  We were HUNGRY, it was 8:00 pm by now, so we splurged on: half a dozen oysters, bowl of clam chowder, 1x dungeness crab, 2x mini lobsters at roughly 1.70 lbs. each and tempura battered shrimp w/fries. From here - things went downhill, FAST.  We must have waited nearly 45+ minutes to an hour for our food!  We tried to be as patient as possible, but the crowd gathering around the pick-up area who were also waiting for their food started to get rowdy.  I assume everyone came from the Lobster Festival.  People were shouting about their orders, complaining about missing items or cold seafood.  Some refused to take their food and yelled for refunds.  Luckily, by being both firm and polite, two staff members (a Mexican lady and younger man) helped with our order.  Kudos to them!  I could tell they didn't want to be there either with the abuse they were taking.  Although the wait was long, with their assistance, at least our seafood came out piping HOT and our order was intact. The seafood was mediocre at best.  Unfortunately, had better at Redondo Beach and other seafood joints.  The crab and lobsters were steamed with a layer of butter, which made everything greasy and covered the freshness/sweetness of the seafood.  The clam chowder was watery.  I don't eat Oysters, but my friends reported that out of the half dozen, 5 tasted fresh and one was spoiled.  Guess it's hard to go wrong with tempura battered shrimp and fries - both of these came out OK. Ultimately - I would have given this place 2 stars if not for the frontline staff and half decent seafood.  3 stars it is.
