Lovely restaurant in the heart of old Matera serving excellent local Italian dishes. We enjoyed lunch for four adults, the service was good and the food was delicious and well prepared. We really liked the atmosphere sitting on a table beside the street looking at the amazing views of the old city and watching the people go by. Prices were good (medium) and looked good for families and adults alike. Recommended.

A straightforward but somewhat tired osteria on the main avenue running through Sasso Caveoso. Typical Lucanian dishes; not too expensive. But atmosphere, staff and interior all seemed run-down and past their prime. There are better places literally right up the street.
