Dining at this restaurant with a pleasant view of Museum of Science & Technology will be a positive experience for visitors. Theres a reason the best sandwich shop in Syracuse (Darwin) uses Pasta’s stretch bread, its amazing! And pasta’s themselves are right up there with some of the best sandwiches on their own. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped in for the first day of Downtown Syracuse's 2024 Dining Weeks for their take out special lunch. For $15, I received a very generous portion of the most delicious mushroom soup I've had in a long time. This was followed by a roast beef sandwich on their famous stretch bread, and a oversized chocolate chip cookie for dessert. What an incredible value. The lunch special continues, featuring a different soup and sandwich each weekday, through the first two weeks of March, but I intend to return frequently during the next year for that mushroom soup and a loaf of stretch bread. Been diggin' it here in Armory Square for years. Recently Pasta's Daily Bread started selling coffee and breakfast treats like scones and muffins. This means GOODBYE to Starbucks and Freedom of Espresso. Largely because the coffee at Pasta's is better than the two other joints, and their baked goods are WAY better. Finally there is the affordability factor. You can get a decent cup of Joe and tasty breakfast treat for a lot cheaper than the rest of the joints in town. Plus it's always quick in quick out because they do really good regular COFFEE not all those foo foo drinks that cause ten minute waits.
