This is a cool spot overall—perfect for sitting outside and **people-watching** while you enjoy the beer special. I took a risk and ordered the crawfish, and even though I knew it was a bad idea before I ordered, it lived up to my low expectations: it was mushy and completely lacking that essential Creole flavor. I'll admit, I'm definitely in the wrong state for authentic crawfish! Despite the taste, they looked fantastic, even the one I noticed in my beer glass. All the other food coming out of the kitchen looked great, and the staff was cool. I'll be back for the ambiance and the beer next time, but I'll stick to local cuisine. Chow until then! Peg Leg Pete's provided a solid lunch experience, first visit, on a busy Saturday. We were quickly seated inside and our server was both nice and attentive. The baked oyster sampler was excellent, with the Spicy Lafitte and Cajun being personal favorites, and the Buffalo Blue also receiving high marks from my son. Following the oysters, I chose a standard Caesar salad topped with grilled grouper, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My son's grouper nuggets had a nice batter and were fried well without being greasy. We will certainly include Peg Leg Pete's in our dining rotation when visiting Pensacola.
