Kind of a wait, but worth it. Got the shrimp and crab combo. Delicious and good portions! Waitress was friendly and informative.

Love this place! You definitely need a misting system for employees and waiting diners out front, everyone will be happier and they don’t cost much…..you could even install it yourselves. Can make the area feel 20 degrees cooler, VERY VERY needed.

Went to Peg Leg Pete's because I had seen it on Yelp, and it had a wait. Tried another restaurant the night before right after arriving at the airport, then decided to try this one. I saw they had a function to join the waitlist through Yelp, cool! During the day, I posted on Facebook that I was in Pensacola. While eating at Peg Leg's, I got 2 recommendations that I should eat there. I hadn't said I was there yet. one from a local and one from someone who had visited a few times before. I take it that's a great sign! The check in process was easy, we were driving from a ways east, so when we got closer, we checked in when appropriate. We didn't have to wait too long after arriving, it was within the estimated time. We were seated then moved to another table because we were seated at the wrong table. (Not sure what happened, but ok.) The food was good. I got the combo fried platter and upgraded to gumbo because I had never had that before. Gumbo is good. I do NOT like oysters even when cooked, is what I learned. The grouper was fantastic and so were the shrimp and scallops. They were the cutest scallops ever, so tiny. They do have malt vinegar. Their ranch dressing is fantastic. Their broccoli is fine. Didn't try dessert -- food won. Overall, good food, good service, having the early check in on Yelp, awesome!
