Cool little spot. Good amount of parking. Was nice and clean, we decided not to eat here as we thought it was a bit steeply priced for snacks. My juice was really nice, But sadly no one enjoyed their coffees. Great coffee is lacking in this part of the country, the smallest techniques would improve the quality and keep people returning to this prime location.

Got shifted from our table because they forgot to clear a space for a musician, then we had to wait almost an hour for Wedges. My sister got a full meal at the same time as we ordered and had finished it long before we finally got our wedges. Instead of giving a proper apology the lady that brought them out got all defensive when we complained simply saying "It's a busy time of year" and then walking off. I get that it is indeed a busy time of year but we were never told there would be a long wait and it simply shouldn't take close to an hour for snack food. Also when our food was finally ready, we could see it sitting on the kitchen bench for about 5 minutes before it was brought out to us. A proper apology would have been appreciated. Also, the musician was extremely embarrassed at the situation of us having to move for him. Terribly run place and won't go back. Avoid!

Terrible!  The worst dining experience of our South Island trip.  The staff were welcoming.  Our waitress was friendly and efficient.  The food, however, was very disappointing.  The fish of the day was gurnard.  One small overcooked fillet, bulked up with a lot of potato.  The snapper and chips was unbelievably bad - one small portion of dry, tasteless and very overcooked fish, far worse than anything from a takeaway bar.  Would not recommend and would not return.
