The dinner was superlative; it is very expensive. Whether it's worth it or not is up to the individual. I did want to take a moment to comment on the service. For starters, we're nobody, and I felt like they doted on my wife and me (at 10 pm on a Sunday). The service was so professional - for me they did a great job of finding just the right level of blending personal interaction with professional service. It seemed to me that judgment was no accident - I'm sure they've done a great job selecting their team. After we paid, we couldn't see our waiter, and, as it was late and we were very tired, we left the restaurant. As we stepped out of the Turner Center onto Columbus Circle, our waiter came running out after us just to say good-bye and wish my wife and me well. It was truly a memorable experience.
My friend and I took out our friend out to Per Se as a graduation gift to congratulate him on making it through culinary school. It took months to plan but totally worth it in the end. Service is, of course, top notch. If you're going to fine dine & pay a premium price, I sure hope the restaurant staff does it correctly! Food was amazing from beginning to end. There were so many courses. We were so stuffed. And thank you for all the complimentary dishes as well (since our friend interned there)! Just a fair warning, this will be a long dinner. Gents, don't forget a jacket. Be prepared for 3-4 hours of deliciousness in formal attire.
Amazing experience!! Impecable service! Oysters and Pearls is a dish to die for. We got a great kitchen tour at the end of our dinner, that was very nice!
