Walked in the door and it smelled like the fish tank filter had not been cleaned in months. Tank water was nasty also. Poor fish! They sat us all the way in back. Still smelled. My boyfriend and I just looked at each other and agreed to go. As we got up they asked why-and we told them. He said no no no it's the bar in the back, not the fish tank! OK, even grosser let's go!!!!

The Pho was OK, not spectacular as the broth was "thin." There was plenty of meat and the condiments were OK. I liked the addition of Culantro to the condiment plate. I also got a sandwich to go which was very good. I was surprised the sandwich was warmed. Where I come from they are not warmed but they are about $2.50 cheaper. Also, the restaurants around my area are about half the price for the pho, other than a few locations that seem to be proud of their product. I have 10 restaurants within close proximity to get Pho and we eat it all the time. Fact is, it is our favorite lunch! So, from my point of view, the soup was just OK, and way overpriced. Service was good, but I was the only customer in there at 2:00PM.

There is the question: is it ever too hot for pho? Frankly, here in SWFL, the answer is a resounding yes. Nevertheless, sometimes you just need a pho fix. Here in Cape Coral there are two places to go. Of these two Pho Plus is much more authentic to me. The menu is full of the traditional fare but I only have eyes for the pho Tai, a giant bowl of broth full of goodies like noodles and vegetables as well it's thinly sliced beef that is actually cooked by the broth The on negative is the neighbors, a smoke filled bar whose crap permeates the entire neighborhood.
