Ketch Joanne has great food and reasonably priced. Libations were nice. Bloody Mary was spot on! Atmosphere is welcoming and the staff was just so friendly.

Pillar Point Harbor Shopping Center is a great stop in Half Moon Bay for surfing gear, bait and tackle and seafood restaurants. Mavericks Surf Company offers a variety of beach gear and surf equipment. Great selection of t-shirts with sizes from kids to grow ups. Half Moon Bay Sportfishing and Tackle not only carry fishing equipments and gear but offer fishing trips and whale watching. Princeton Seafood Company is a great alternative to the crowded Sam's Chowder House down the block. Go to the side of the restaurant and you can purchase fresh seafood that they use for their restaurant as well as catch their crab boiler at work. Mmm....smells so good! An even better alternative to Sam's is Ketch Joanne Restaurant. Their grilled jumbo white prawns with lemon garlic sauce is da bomb! After dinner, head to the next room Harbor Bar and grab a few brewskis. Not into booze? They also own Joanne's ice cream cafe next door. Try the dirty paw flavor, toffee ice cream with chocolate cookie crumbs, it's to die for! This shopping center is surely a hidden jewel of Half Moon Bay. Even if you're not experiencing the shops, the view of the boats at Pillar Point is magnificent. A must visit when you pass through HMB!
