In the spirit of full disclosure, I'm not a Vee-gan...I'm not even a vegetarian, so take my opinion at face value. I was driving thru to attend a funeral for my beloved friend. My friend had embraced the vegan lifestyle, and I thought I'd honor my friends memory w/ a full vegan meal from start to finish. I've dipped my toe in the vegan pool, so I wasn't in the dark of what to expect. Convincing my family however was another thing. They're the types that will act like little kids who declare they hate something...even if they've never tried it. I called out their menu items, in the car, to my unsuspecting family before we arrived. I did this so that when we arrived they wouldn't have time to look at the menu and see it was vegan...yes I know I'm going to hell, lol. We arrive, walked in and like a gift from above...they had self ordering kiosks. This further enabled me to continue my diabolical scheme. I told my family to grab a seat and I'd take over the ordering...MUAHAHAHAHA. We ordered the following: The Big Zac (their version of the Big Mac), Classic Burger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Iconic (formerly Voodoo) Fries  and Raw Tacos. The food arrived w/ in a decent time frame and everything looked so yummy that I wanted a sample of each out of curiosity, and hunger. I sat and watched the reaction of my family, to see if the food had fooled them. They were none the wiser until a bite was taken from the Classic Burger (it's no Impossible or Beyond Meat), but the jig wasn't completely up as the rest of the group continued eating, unfazed. I ordered the Raw Tacos (2pc), as they've always been something that sounds good to me. Walnut & Pecan 'taco meat', cashew hummus, guacamole, shredded kale and veggies served in cabbage shells. These are pre-made and you just grab them from the little fridge in the front. Oh man these things were so good, and filling. I was only able to eat one, and I took one for the road. There was one item that I enjoyed, even more than mine and that would be the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The thing not only tasted like the real thing, but it looked AND smelled like a freshly fried piece of poultry. Everyone in our group took a bite and agreed that this was the best thing outta the bunch. I almost considered one for the road too, lol. The Big Zac was a strong contender as well, and could fool the casual McDs customer. The Iconic Fries, their version of In N Outs Animal Fries, were good but over salted. I debated on purchasing a dessert, specifically an Apple Pie Shake that they were advertising on their seasonal menu. I ultimately bought it, as well as a slice of Chocolate Cheesecake. It was my first time trying either and the Apple Pie Shake tasted like a fresh baked slice of Americana. The texture was great, very ice cream like and the flavor packed a punch. I nursed that baby until the very end. The cheesecake I could do w/out though as it tasted like plain chocolate pudding. I was totally satisfied w/ the entire experience and I highly recommend for vegans and non alike. In this fast paced world...don't forget to stop and enjoy the lentil things in life.
Never had a vegan burger that takes so great....this is my cheat meal Sunday's from here on out....nuggets tasted different but got use to them fast....they will be getting my money for years to come...keep up the great costumer service just have more then one register open when the line gets long because some customers don't know what they want and hold up the line by looking and asking the employee questions about the different foods but overall my Sunday SPOT..... Update as of 12/6/19 I went in to order tenders and fries and found out they don't cut them themselves anymore which is a total let down
There is so much to love about plant power. They have easy to use kiosk and a friendly staff that makes the ordering process quick even when there are long lines. I also appreciate how everything is served in either a compostable or recyclable container. As for the food in said wrappers and containers, I'm not vegan but I quite enjoy it. Chicken is the one meat that I would probably never quite because it's just so good. However, the buffalo wings here come at a very close second! It's definitely the thing that keeps me coming back. It's also a huge plus that they changed the cut of their fries from chips to standard cut so now they are nice and crisp. I also do quite enjoy all of their burgers, but I don't get one often because I could just eat the wings all by myself and be full. Id I had to pick one though, my favorite would definitely be the holy guacamole since i love avocado and jalapeño. Milkshakes - do it. Green dream smoothie - pretty good but it's $6.95 Plant Power is definitely one of my favorite places in this plaza. Highly recommend!
