The decor and scenery in the restraint were beautiful. Food was well prepared and the guacamole was really good, it seemed as if the flavor of the food and dishes were a little bland. Will go back and should definitely try!
This is one of the worst places I've been too, the servers were rude, they placed us over by a HUGE and LOUD party, when there was only 2 other groups of 4 in the whole restaurant. And on top of that, I ordered the GROUND BEEF taco salad, and made sure there was no pork or seasoning on it, (I'm highly allergic to pork) only to take one bite of my food and instantly be sick to the point that my party had to drive to the doctors to make sure my throat didn't start closing. When I talked to the manager on my way out, he was vague and quite rude. Never coming back here again.
If you have children or a family member with disabilities, I do not recommend this restaurant. I have 20 month old twins. We rarely go to restaurants and do our very best to be courteous to other customers when we do. Through the first half of our visit my children ate chips and colored quietly. Then my son yelled out. The first time it happened, I told him to stop yelling in an attempt to correct the behavior. After a second yell, I stood up and started to take him out of his high chair so that I could remove him from the restaurant to calm him down. It was at this point that Alejandro, a waiter from a different table said "can you keep it down? We have other people here."  I was surprised because I was literally in the process of removing my kid, and said "yeah I'm working on it." To which he said again, "we have other people here eating." I get it. We've all been in restaurants and seen an out of control kid and a parent that lets them run amok. It sucks. But that's not what this was. This was a family trying to enjoy a $50 meal in a near empty restaurant, and a mom trying to correct her kid. When a jerk took it upon himself to make a shitty comment. We ended up leaving. We had the 3/4 of our meal that was leftover boxed up and paid our full bill. And because we aren't assholes we tipped 20% to our waiter (not Alejandro) because he was a decent server. The manager who seemed kind of horrified by the whole thing gave us a $25 gift card after asking us if we come there a lot (as though that matters?) But we would never even consider returning here, with or without kids. It takes a village guys. We try hard to engage our kids and not give them iPads (though no judgement if you do). We pay full price, clean up after ourselves, and obey the social contract to not be a-hole parents. A little patience and kindness to a struggling parent that's trying to do things the right way was warranted in this situation. And I won't give another penny to any business that doesn't hold their staff to that standard. Aside from that- we've been coming here for years. So if you still decide to go here, the least I can do is share some tips: The pork al pastor is dry and inauthentic. The table-side guacamole is overpriced for what you get. Just get a side of it or stick to salsa. The margaritas are fine. Not great, but fine. The black beans are a watery mess. I'm not sure how, but each time we've gotten dessert in the two dozen(?) or so times we've been here over the years, we all got sick. So maybe steer clear of that, too. And if you see Alejandro, be sure to give him the one finger salute for me.
