I really liked the place until I was told I can't just sit down for coffee there with my friends on Sunday morning. It wasn't busy and half the tables were empty. Why is it called cafe if I can't just sit with a cup of coffee?
This is likely to become one of my favourite local restaurants. Its recommended to book a table if you are thinking of eating here as within a few minutes of arriving at the restaurant early on a Sunday evening it was already starting to fill up. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and shown to a nice table by the window. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern and stylish but not over fussy. There is a good mixture of table sizes, the tables are quite close together. The service throughout the meal was very friendly and attentive and the menu included specials for a starter and a main course. Prices are not cheap but not outrageous. When the food arrived it was well presented but the portion size was quite small. The food however tasted delicious, each of the starter, main course and dessert were all equally good. I'm giving the restaurant four rathe than five stars because whilst the service, ambience and food were all great the tables are a bit squashed together and the portions are quite small. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.
Have stopped doing their delicious pizza, have patronisingly said we will now find more ‘authentic’ dishes on the menu...than Margherita pizza...??? Really disappointing. Gentrification of the Deptford area, shutting locals out and rocket high deli prices. Such a shame as this was a lovely little gem, would have been five stars this time last year!
