I recently had a frustrating experience at Ego at The Pomeroy, Amersham that left me and my wife really disappointed. We showed up around 6:30 PM, and while we didn’t have a reservation, the restaurant was only about half full with plenty of available seating. Despite this, we were turned away because they claimed they were “too busy.” It felt like an excuse, especially since there were clearly open tables. What was most frustrating was the lack of any effort to accommodate us or offer a solution, like suggesting we wait for a table or come back later. It felt like we were dismissed without a second thought. Honestly, the experience was really off-putting, and we won’t be returning. There are plenty of local places. Hat know how to treat customers, even when they’re busy. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

We are sorry to hear this, Louie. I know the restaurant may have been half full, but we were fully booked on that evening and we did not have enough time to serve you before the next booking.
