The chicken salad was delicious and the bread amazing. The sweet and spicy chips were really good, too. We requested "tap water". I don't think I've ever had worse tap water. I order tap water everywhere. It doesn't have to taste like dirt. We were greeted as we came in and told someone would be right with us. When someone finally took our order, it was the woman who was standing right there the whole time washing something in the sink. (The same sink from which she filled our cups). Whatever she was doing can't possibly have been more important than taking our order. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

We use the hand sink to rinse milk pitchers and our supplies from preparing drinks. This needs done in a timely manner to keep things sanitary for the next customers that order drinks. We appreciate your patience as we attend to sanitary procedures in the shop. Have a great afternoon. More

Beautiful space with a lovely spiral staircase to get you from one level to another. The staff wore masks and were extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions with a smile in their eyes and made sure I was taken care of. The bagel was delicious as well as the latte. I appreciate a business so much more when hospitality is genuine because you can actually taste it in their product. If you need a place to tuck away for a nice read or to have a sip with friends or family, Porter Books and Bread have you covered.
