The food was meh. The service was poor. Can't believe this place gets such good reviews on Yelp and recommendations from our hotel. We were at a small two-top and were splitting appetizer, salad and a main. The main was a pricey fish dish. They brought everything at once, and the table was so jammed it was awkward. The fish dish became cold as we rushed to eat the appetizer and salad. The salad was nothing short of disgusting- swimming in dressing and topped by deep fried chicken tenders. Bizarre. We learned this is the way it is in Ireland - our 38 Euro bottle of  wine was dumped off by a busboy, screw on lid intact. When we looked at him to serve it he said "you want me to pour it?" incredulously.  We poured it ourselves, to say the least. Anyway- it was one of our more expensive dinners in Killarney and in Ireland in general and I heartily do not recommend it.

Loved Porterhouse!  Visited (from the US)  05/18/23. We had dinner at a table for two outside on the street... Lovely! I had a spicy margarita and my husband, a whiskey sour (traditional with egg white froth) for first cocktail; Jameson & Ginger for second He had the "veg" (vegetable) soup to start and brisket burger with "chips" (fries).  I had the dirty Caesar salad to start (came with three surprise deep-fried chicken tenders) and gnocchi pesto. All delicious...pesto not traditional green but tomato-based.  Rich and tasty! Great meal; great, friendly service. Highly recommend!

What a great find for a vegan dinner and delish food! Who would think a vegan could find such excellent fare at a steak house? Try it out!
