Just got home from a WONDERFUL dining experience at Portofino Italian Ristorante on 34th st S. It was our first time there, even though we are locals. OMG I can't believe it took us so long to find this place! From the lightly battered, delicate calamari to their home-made creamy Italian salad dressing to the authentic Lasagne to the flavor-packed Ravioli - EVERYTHING was exceptional. Really some of the best Italian food I've ever had. As a casual restaurant, I can't wait to go back to try their pizza. The owner, Patty, even stopped by our table to chat. I only wish I had saved room for their home-made cannoli. I have no idea why we didn't take some to go. Well, that will give us more than a good excuse to go back. If you enjoy Italian food - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Thank you. Did I mention it was "Wine Wednesday"? Bonus :D
