After reading so many good reviews we decided to try Prometheus pizza while we were in Fredericksburg this time around. It’s a food truck so no surprises on the atmosphere. The guy who took our order was very nice. The price for two 12 inch pizzas (pepperoni and margarita) was high at $37 plus change, which would have been fine if the pizza had been as good as many reviews stated, but we were disappointed. The pepperoni pizza was just okay, but the margarita pizza tasted like someone opened a can of tomato sauce, spread it on dough and add a skimpy amount of mozzarella and some basil leaves. The sauce had no depth of flavor at all. The crust had a weird consistency and none us like it at all (there were three of us that tried it). In a touristy town where everything is pricey, and we’ve spent a good amount of money during our time here, this pizza was the only time we had buyers remorse.
