Came to Providence to celebrate my birthday and the whole experience was amazing. The service was amazing, everyone was so attentive, our water and wine glasses were always full.  We ordered the Providence Tasting Menu. The course started with a few appetizers, baked mussels, salmon filled crisps, monk fish liver flowers and tuna tartar inside a flower leaf. I was a little scared of the monk fish liver, but it was so buttery, creamy and savory. Everything tasted amazing. Every single dish was an art piece! Then came the wagyu cigars, and tomato crab bisque. We ordered half dozen oysters and their signature uni egg. The uni egg was delicious, I read someone is was okay, but I really enjoyed the buttery uni, salty roe and savory raw egg. All the flavors worked really well, I dipped my seaweed bread in the egg and it was like an egg party in my mouth. Next began the actual course of big eye tuna with snap peas, it was tangy, salty, savory and fresh. I ordered the liberty farms duck, it was cooked perfectly at medium with a crispy crust and did not have a hint of the gamey taste. I went with a party of three and we all ordered something different, I got to taste the salmon and wagyu. All of the main dishes were amazing, I personally liked the duck the best. For dessert, they brought out a vanilla and strawberry sorbet, which was amazing. Then the macrons, chocolate and sweet jelly. Everything was great.
Providence has been one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles for quite some time now. I have been busy trying the new and upcoming places in DTLA but made a reservation with my food partner as exactly 10 years ago I professed that providence was by far my most favorite restaurant in town and a had been back numerous times to be a bit disappointed. Well last week I rekindled my love for this restaurant once again!
Best services in town.
