I'm not much of a late-night-eats person, but when you've just arrived late into Krakow and every other place is closing their doors, there's nothing better or more reliable than a 24-hour restaurant! Przypiecek in the old city has just six tables and an elegant, cozy atmosphere inside. The menu items are printed on colored pieces of paper and attached by clothespins to the wall surrounding the dining room. I started with the sour soup with kielbasa and boiled egg chunks and also tried the borscht with small meat-filled dumplings. Then we had the famous pierogi, the Polish dumplings which make up almost the entire menu! The assortment of boiled dumplings I tried were stuffed with potato/cheese, spinach, and cabbage, and everything was just so warm and comforting and a great deal!
