Outstanding! Worthy of a trip fron another country. Leans heavily on the Oaxacan cooking traditions. Mole course and mezcal selection are standouts.
Rating this based on the dinner tasting menu (as opposed to the taco one). I recommend you split the vegetarian tasting and the non-vegetarian one with someone at your table. You definitely get the best of both worlds and we didn't feel like we wished we both ordered one over the other. Every dish was fantastic, especially the mole in the end! Highly recommend.
We did Pujol and Quintonil on the same day. Pujol for dinner. Pujols interior is definitely beautiful, very zen like with seating outside and inside. The decor is beautiful. So which one did we like better? We actually thought Quintonil was better but Pujol was fairly good too. I felt Quintonil was more creative. Also, the service at Pujol is so whack. There were more servers on the floor than customers. There were so many that you don't know who's helping you and they get confused to. You order from one guy another came and ask you what you want to order. The food was good. I got the sea menu. It wasn't as creative as I like. I had those flavor profiles before. It was still good though. The corn menu was creative but no protein in it. And it took forever. We had 2 dishes in 1 hour and was pretty frustrated. Other tables came later and got their first dish before us. Slow kitchen. After the 2 dish, my bf switched to the sea and things started coming out faster. The best dish was the octopus, it was so soft and had a good spice to it . Best octopus I ever had. They don't have wine pairing which is extremely odd. Their cocktails were good and they have good beers. Make early reservations .
