We had made it our goal to stay at every QT in Australia. Loved Sydney, Newcastle & Gold Coast so far. Love the styling and the new scent each hotel had to offer. Special occasion wife's birthday booked for 3 nights concert booked for the last night. Got in late on the first night went up to our room and was hit immediately with a warm room of 26 degrees and a noise coming out of the air-conditioning, I rang downstairs and they were totally aware of the problem but gave us the room anyway and was told to come down in the morning and they may be able to change our room. Went and had a shower and there was black mould in the shower. No sleep at all ended up sick. Day 2 went downstairs and decided to give breakfast a go, no buffet breakfast and limited choice for food. I then requested a room change for the next 2 days and we were changed to a King Superior which we waited till 2.30 that day to move in. Moved rooms it was a 35 degree day in Canberra and the next rooms air conditioning was also broken and the manager came up to the room and couldn't turn the heat function off either and promised us maintenance would be up to fix it, no show from maintenance. We left the balcony door open for 2 days and nights for some fresh air. Staff didn't care about the customers and I cannot believe that the QT would put their name to this hotel. I have stayed in better 2 star motels in country towns. I should have left on the first night, you have wrecked my wife's birthday trip and you should be ashamed of charging people for this so called accomodation. Do not stay at the QT Canberra. Rooms: They are old, air conditioning doesn't work, Bathrooms have black mould in them. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 2
