Fantastic weekend at the Quays from the Friday to the early hours of Monday morning the pub really showed they are the best in Basildon! DJ, Quays fest, Kids fest and the England match, so much great entertainment and memories made for every person to have enjoyed. Shout out to all the staff at the Quays for making it all happen, what a team they are Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went here on Sunday, father's day, thought it be nice to get out with the mother in law. She likes coming here. Didn't seem to be many staff but we did receive our meal in good time. Foid was lovely as it always is. The only criticism I have is that the staff didnt seem to want to be there in my opinion. I have a blue light card and although it says that they accept blue light card it was not on this occasion. Reason its fathers say. Not a good reason really. It wasn't busy either. I accept on bank holidays but father's day is not a bank holiday. Not feeling great about coming back again. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

So we popped in at 4:30pm.. (30/4/26). It's not busy at all.. we ordered a 1 pint of beer and a woodmans... and went to the "outdoor" area. The inside appeared clean and bright. It wasn't a busy time.. a handful of customers. My partner used the toilets and mentioned broken or lack of toilet seats.. and also NO tissue.. when mentioning the lack of personal hygiene cleaning product available in the toilet.. the staff said "unlucky". When we went to the outside seating area.. most of the tables were full of glasses.. cutlery on the floor.. sauces on tables (mayonnaise you cant serve anymore because it's been left in the sun too long and can be a health issue).. a server came out bringing a table some drinks.. and returned inside with 2 glasses and a bottle.. but nobody ever returned to clear the tables.. a short time later.. a family with a child arrived.. to sit at a table.. cutlery (knives) were still on the floor.. and empty glasses everywhere.. it was a very quiet time.. the staff are clearly lazy.. I wouldnt come back again. Then when we pointed out to the staff.. that even though they were clearly not busy.. and there was an abundance of tables full of glasses and cutlery on the floor.. they were rude.. rolled their eyes.. dismissive.. even arrogant in their response. Almost abusive because we pointed out the mess.. the 3 female bar staff were obnoxious, arrogant, ignorant and abusive.. I'd never return here. It's my 1st and last visit.. id never recommend this place for a visit. Avoid like the plague.. and if your planing on taking your children.. go somewhere else instead that knows how to cater to families and clear tables.. like the noak bridge.
