The ice cream is ok. I ordered a large soft serve with brownies and reeses. Comparing the quality at the almost $6, I must say you're better off going to DQ or crescent ridge. The ice cream isn't worth the high price point to me. Honestly Ben and Jerry's is so much better even though B&J is smaller. You can do so much better in terms of value.
Great flavors. New flavors all the time. Fair prices.
New to the area, I jumped on Yelp to find a trusted local ice cream shop, with the hopes of finding homemade ice cream here in MA. Fair warning: I'm a self-described homemade chocolate ice cream connoisseur and have been spoiled with an abundance of homemade ice cream in NH during my life. That being said, I was happy to find this local gem that serves pretty good ice cream. The menu had an impressive 25 flavors with other options such as sundaes, blizzards, and soft serve. My boyfriend and I both ordered death by chocolate, small sizes, and the bill came to around $6 (cash only!) - which is a good price for homemade ice cream. On the window of the shop, they have a sign stating that they serve ice cream "locally made in Middletown, MA by Richardson's Farm". The ice cream was good, although I was a little disappointed that it wasn't creamier considered it was homemade. I wasn't impressed nor disappointed with the ice cream and overall, it passed my chocolate test. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cute and quaint. Vintage ice cream scoopers lined the walls which gave the shop a classic ice cream shop feel. There were a few tables for seating inside, pillows to sit on the benches of the bay windows, and a few chairs outside for seating as well. You can tell that this shop has been around for a long while and is very much a part of the local community. Overall, I would give Quincy Creamery a 3.5 based on their ice cream. However, I bumped my rating up to 4 stars given the location, where homemade ice cream isn't as prevalent. I will definitely return!
