Beignets were amazing along with the Fried Platter Combo and the quiche was to die for.  Service was excellent, most friendly and interactive.  Great place!!!
I came back for dinner and want to add that the chicken cordon bleu was bomb. The red mashed potatoes knocked it out the park. The fried appetizer platter was amazing. Their catfish tastes so fresh and I loved their house made sauce. My fiancé's sweet potato crumble made me envious. It was slightly sweet - not that sticky thanksgiving sweet potato type of sweet. Also want to throw in that our server Alyssa was great and super kind, as were the rest of the staff!!! I have yet to have anything here that was just "okay". I love this place so much I want to cry. Stop checking if this place is good. I assure you with all my heart and soul and it is phenomenal in every way.
Whether you're coming for the fresh made pastries or the andouille sausage you're sure to leave with a belly that's full and happy.   Cinnamon roles are HUGE!  Think of a fair cinnamon roll and then double that.  Or maybe you're more of a beignet fan, talk about a French doughnut.  They come coated in a powered sugar snow bath with strawberry jam.  (Diabetes isn't real, right?!) Perhaps the sweets aren't the flavor you savor.  The Cajun sunrise with andouille sausage, eggs, grits, and a biscuit.  The sausage is dense and gives just enough kick.  The grits were good (but when compared with fresh grits from North Carolina they don't meet the mark).  The biscuit was SO good!  Fresh made, with the slight crunch on the outside and soft buttermilk goodness on the inside. If you're looking for good southern cooking with staff that bring the southern charm, Rabalais' is where you need to be.
