Best restaurant I’ve been to in Brussels
BEST MEAL EVER. We shared the regular 5 courses meal and the truffle one. It is absolutely incredible !! No words can describe the taste, texures and look. Worth coming to Brussles just to eat here. I would give it 10 stars if i could.
We visited Brussels last December and had a very nice meal at Le Rabassier, a fine dining establishment which specialises in black truffle dishes. Opening hours are 12-1.30pm (lunch) and 7-8.45pm (dinner) from Tuesday to Sunday. This is an elegant restaurant with only a handful of tables. As such, best to reserve well in advance if you want to dine here during visits to Brussels. During our meal, we found the hostess to be professional and accommodating while the execution in the kitchen to be outstanding. Dishes were explained well in English, were very presentable and tasted outstanding. We also very much appreciated the chef coming out to discuss the age and source of the truffles. This was a very nice addition to the dining experience. On the evening, we enjoyed the 'Black Truffle Tasting Menu' which can referenced directly on the restaurant website menu page. As fans of truffle as an ingredient, we found this multi-course meal to be quite excellent. There was nothing served on the evening that we didn't enjoy. Favourites where the scallops with truffle, beef carpaccio (an alternate dish to accommodate allergies), foie gras with truffle and the cod & risotto with cream of parmesan cheese and truffle gratin. In the end, we've dined at numerous Michelin restaurants in recent years that were a clear a step or two behind Le Rabassier. This was an excellent meal, one we would very much enjoy returning for during future trips to Brussels.
