Rasika brings a lot of creativity to traditional Indian dishes and does so in the best way possible. I like this location a lot since it is more reminiscent of Indian vibes. My friend comes here every month and recommended a few of his favorites so we tried them! Things I appreciate-the switch from plastic straws to paper ones, polite service, and awesome food. Appetizers: We ordered avocado banana chaat, crab, and lamb and all were tender and delicious. I could not tell the appetizers had crab or lamb. I may try my own rendition of the avocado banana chaat at home. Entrees: Daal makhni and salmon tandoori. The cilantro sauce added the best flavor! The daal probably had a lot of ghee, but it was really good. Dessert: Gulab jamin with icecream-probably gulab jamun I've ever had. It's kind of dark and the bathroom is tucked away but you'll eventually meander through the tables to get there.
The palak chaat was amazing. The spices in black pepper crab were perfect. Not a huge fan of the eggplant appetizer. The meat in the green chicken curry and the lamb gosht was cooked to perfection. If you dont handle spice too well, I might stay away from the green chicken curry!
If you are looking for restaurants where each bite you take is like an explosion of the most magnificent  flavors then Rasika is a must when visiting DC. I can't even put in words how wonderful the food is. On top of that the ambiance is spot on to enjoy a nice dinner with friends. The staff is warm and welcoming and answered all of my many questions about the menu. I can't say enough about how amazing Rasika is
