Come here for some rest after a long walk around Munkholmen. Have a nice time here and share nicely cooked taro with your friends. Some guests like good gin, wine or bourbon at this restaurant. You will be offered good coffee.

I’m sure they have fine cocktails but we didn’t get to try them. Me, my husband, restaurant and bar owners in the US, and our 8 month old daughter (who was sleeping!) went to raus bar at 7 PM last Tuesday, and it was totally empty. The bartender greeted us nicely. We sat down and looked over the menu for about 10 minutes. Then, a blonde girl approached us and abruptly and rudely told us we needed to leave because it was against the law to bring babies to bars in Norway. She said our daughter was welcome to come back in 20 years. We have been 5 or 6 similar places since and they warmly welcomed us and have been happy to see our daughter there. Our experience at raus bar felt negative and discrimatory. Wanted to share on behalf of other families to not waste your time or money.
