If you're visiting Crail, one place you absolutely shouldn't miss is The Lobster Shed. You get to choose your own lobster and have it cooked fresh on the spot – a truly unique and authentic experience. The staff are wonderfully straightforward. When I asked if they had a piece of bread, the reply was: "Do I look like a baker?" I nearly choked on my food laughing, while the person who said it looked at me as if I was completely mad. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal – fresh lobster and crab, simply prepared and absolutely delicious. A memorable experience with great food and plenty of character.
