Kastell offers French meals. The must-order dish is perfectly cooked burgers. The wine list is diverse, it can satisfy the needs of all guests. The nice staff at this place can demonstrate how much they appreciate their clients. The fabulous service is something these restaurateurs care about. From the visitors' viewpoint, prices are affordable. When you enter this place, you notice the spectacular ambiance. This spot is a Michelin selection and has been awarded 2 black knife-and-fork symbols: the inspectors state that Kastell guarantees great comfort.

My husband and I just spent a fabolous weekend there. Beautiful castle, gorgeous interior, top notch, excellent service. I have been to several 5 star hotels but this one stands out. It had a lovely personal touch. I reserved in English, my German is so so, so the little greeting card in our room was written in English, my menu was in English as well and all the staff talked in English with me and in German with my husband. I think that was very nice and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious!!!!!My husband was over the moon. We will definitely go again soon:-)

for our one night stay in the hotel i made a reservation for dinner a week before which was confirmed. surprisingly we were not seated on one of nice places but in the "Stube". this was a place good enough for beer drinking with friends but surely not for a romantic dinner in two. uncovered tables cold service without any coments to the wines. food average. wiener schnitzel was all but wiener. at the and we had to repeatedly wait several minutes for waitress returns. very far off michelin star neither bib gourmet. just the price. it was our second visit and this time great. disappointment. all this without any simple word of apologise, even after 3 weeks.

A Triumph.Kellermann makes the impossible possible. An eight course menu plus 4 1/2 hidden courses with a clear line but without getting boring and without one or two fillers. The menu explores a base chord with four or five different added notes in each course. Sometimes major, sometimes minor, sometimes diminished. And whenever you think the symphony has run out of ideas there is a modulation in the score that leaves you baffled. The setting in an old castle helps of course. It should also be mentioned that the price tag is (relatively) moderate, the very capable staff speaks English, and kids are welcome (the courses take a few hours of time though). Recommended. A lot.
