Come here for some rest after a long walk around Arthur R. Outlaw Convention Center. This restaurant provides tasty bacon and good crabs. Try nicely cooked biscuits.

Arrived with my family and checked into our room. Found the room in a lived in state with a cell phone plugged into the wall and the tv on.... turns out the maids were camping in the room. Went to use the bathroom, and the exhaust fan was broken. Tried to put our snack in the refrigerator and it was frozen with ice. Decided to go for a swim and it was full of drunks and dirty.

At 11pm just sent up (within 2-3 minutes) someone with a screwdriver and a pack of AAA batteries for our kid's light. Amazing customer service.

We ate an early dinner in the Harbor Room before the evening's Mardi Gras parades. It was relaxed and comfortable. The highlight, of course, was the meal! Chef Allie Henderson's creations, we learned, are a combination of her own family recipes as well as creations from her staff and their families. By far, my favorite was the jumbo crab cake appetizer served over fried green tomatoes! Just enough heat to wake up the taste buds and the crunch of the fried green tomatoes was reminiscent of tempura but with much more flavor. This appetizer was big enough for a meal! My entree was the cheddar bacon burger served on a brioche bun. Yum! But the fries took center stage here! The seasoning on the fries was delicious! I ended my meal with a delicious Chocolate Brownie Creme Brulee - another delight! Other menu items my group ordered and loved ... honey bbq wings appetizer (large wings!), turkey sandwich with goat cheese and pepper jelly (great combination!), shrimp and pimento cheese grits (wow!), cheesecake & key lime tart (both amazing!). Both service & food was impeccable!
