Save your time and money and avoid this restaurant!! This should NOT be is a Michelin starred restaurant!
We made reservations months in advance to have dinner at the restaurant for NYE. We were all quite excited as all our other Lyon restaurant experiences had been amazing.
We stayed at the hotel right across the restaurant so it was an easy walk over.
The first impression of the restaurant is nice but a bit confusing as there are multiple rooms. We were seated in a room separate from the main dining room as we were a family of 10 guests. The room was fine, nothing special, no real decor or style. Appeared more like a board room. The music initially worked but stopped half way through the dinner service.
Our hostess, Margarita, was very nice. She tried to make the evening as pleasant as possible. It was not her fault that the entire tasting menu, experience, and customer service was so disappointing.
The 7 course tasting menu had absolutely no thought put into it. Felt like it was just thrown together prior to the seating. There was no theme/use of seasonal vegetables or progression of flavors. Everything basically has the same broth poured over it. We tried to eat some of the the food until we got to the seabean spaghetti course. This was out right disgusting. It was thrown together with raw tofu and served to us.
We asked to speak to the manager-- she was not accommodating and did not even try to improve the experience.
We left the restaurant hungry and very unhappy! This was not the NYE experience we anticipated.
There are so many other wonderful restaurants in Lyon -- this place should be avoided at all costs! I would never recommend this place to anyone!
