We visited Restaurante Isidoro in a calm Saturday noon. The food is great, the atmosphere is very cozy, but the strongest point, by far, was the service and attendance. I talked to Don Vicente a couple hours before lunch. I was looking for a Paella Valenciana... Happens that, there's no such paella in their menu. Not a problem: Don Vicente explained that, requesting in advance, they could do it. Reservations done, paella booked for the agreed hour. Once we stepped in the restaurant, Don Vicente welcomed us, asking me by name and guiding my family and myself to our reserved table... And I didn't had to say a word! He suggested a few entrées, and I tasted the best clochinas I've ever tried. When the paella arrived, we were served by Don Isidoro himself, with his big smile and care for serving a piece of art as food. After eating all the paella, we found place for a very tasty chocolate cake. When I thought the lunch was over, Don Isidoro brings a toy for my kid - "it's much better to play with toys than with a mobile... Kids are no longer playing as they were used to". By the time we were leaving, Don Isidoro presented us the Don Quijote edition they have exposed, as well as chatted about the books that are exposed in the restaurant. Each one had a proper story! Because of all of it, Don Vicente and Don Isidoro transformed what was supposed to be an already very good and tasty lunch into an amazing experience.
