I expected more from a restaurant that positions itself as refined and attentive. Upon arriving at The Ritz in Shopping Iguatemi, we were seated and handed menus and then promptly forgotten. Despite sitting in plain sight with staff serving the table directly beside us, we received no follow-up, no acknowledgment, not even a simple check-in. One waiter made eye contact several times and still chose to ignore us entirely. After waiting far longer than acceptable without any service, we got up and walked over to Rascal next door, where we were greeted and attended to immediately a stark contrast in hospitality. For a place that aspires to sophistication, The Ritz demonstrated a surprising lack of the most basic courtesy: acknowledging your guests. Disappointing, and certainly not an experience I’d care to repeat nor recommend to others Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
