If you are looking for an authentic, comforting, and flat-out delicious meal, Pusing Public Restaurant delivers in spades. Every dish served was a masterclass in classic flavors executed with precision. Soy Sauce Fried Prawns The meal started strong with a plate of perfectly fried prawns bathed in a rich, savory soy-based sauce. The prawns themselves were wonderfully plump and snapped with freshness. The sauce hit that elusive sweet-savory sweet spot, clinging beautifully to the shells. Crowned with fresh coriander and green onions, it was a fragrant and deeply satisfying dish that had us polishing off every drop of the sauce. Stir-Fried Qing Long Cai with Bean Sprouts For the greens, the stir-fried *qing long cai* (dragon chives) mixed with crisp bean sprouts was phenomenal. The dish was laced with a prominent *wok hei* (breath of the wok) and tossed with deeply savory fried shallots and garlic. It stayed incredibly vibrant, crunchy, and light—providing a perfect texture contrast to the rest of the meal. A side of pickled green chilies offered a sharp, tangy kick that cut through the richness beautifully. Signature Steamed Chicken The absolute crown jewel of the night was the poached chicken. The presentation alone was gorgeous, featuring beautifully arranged, tender cuts of chicken with glistening, golden skin. Placed over a bed of savory, light soy broth and topped with crisp greens and a generous dusting of fried shallots, the meat was incredibly succulent and practically melted off the bone. Paired with their intense, aromatic ginger and scallion dipping sauce on the side, it was comfort food elevated to perfection. Pusing Public Restaurant proves that you don't need over-complicated gimmicks when your foundational cooking is this excellent. From the impeccable texture of the prawns to the soul-warming execution of the chicken, this was a flawless, delicious meal. Highly recommended! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: RM 140–160

Nice random find in Ipoh and honestly quite a pleasant surprise. The food was good and the atmosphere was lively, with many tables celebrating birthdays and family gatherings. Personally enjoyed the fried cod fish and especially the steamed prawns. Both were very fresh and well cooked. The asparagus with prawns was also a nice dish and went down well with everyone. The claypot chicken was fragrant, tender and succulent. The gravy was rich and flavourful, and went really well with the rice. Ended up having quite a few extra spoonfuls because of the gravy. Overall, a very satisfying meal with good food and a nice ambience. Would definitely come back if I am in Ipoh again. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: RM 80–100

Decided to have dinner here after it was dubbed the “undisputed best Chinese food in Ipoh” and it really truly is!!!! This was hands down the best meal of my 7 day Malaysia tour through KL, Penang and Ipoh. Highly recommend the fried cod fish, handmade tofu, 青瓜! Wish I had this quality of food at this value where I live Meal type: Dinner Price per person: RM 40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
