The view of Casa de las Siete Chimeneas from the window of this restaurant leaves a good impression. Here, you can discover the recipes and ingredients of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisines. The recipe for success of Revoltosa is its wonderful hamburgers, tapas and perfectly cooked paneer. Try terrific gâteau, chocolate cakes and tasty cheesecakes. If you want to taste some good beer, wine or exciting vermouth, this place is a nice choice for you. Visit this place and have fantastic coffee, tea or super tonic.

You will have warm memories about this spot as it is well-known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. This restaurant offers you nice prices for yummy meals. The fine decor and cool atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. But Revoltosa hasn't achieved a high rating on TripAdvisor.

Nice homey spot in between MAN and Prado. And open on Sunday. In the spirit of thrifty travel, I walked over to take advantage of free Sunday admission at the MAN archeological Museum and then head over to the Prado for their free late afternoon Sunday admission (thanks again to Rick Steves guide book). The MAN is a nice modern building with a decent collection - no British Museum by a long shot, but worth checking out. Not crowded in the least even on the free day. I was looking for a late lunch before heading over to the Prado. There wasn't much to choose from right in the vicinity on a Sunday. The Yelp "open now" filter really thinned the herd this time. Many spots were closed, and others were high end white linen dining. Not much on the tapas list. I chose this based on location and availability but was pleasantly surprised. They have a good sized patio and indoor seating. I had olives and a "Russian salad", which is a concoction of potatoes and tuna with a mayonnaise dressing. Not a life changing culinary experience but good value and just fine.
Food was OK but they charged me in another currency without me asking and made money off me by getting to pick their own exchange rate. Unacceptable and illegal in Spain to charge me in another currency.
We were in Madrid from London staying at a hotel nearby with 3 smallish kids, this place was good for a coffee or a drink and the kids could run around in the little square. Pretty good if not particularly friendly service (but I’m sure the kids had something to do with that!).
