Good place to have Japanese, Thai or some Chinese food. The price was good . The sashimi was fresh. Thai basil was tasty . Alsó enjoyed beef chowfun. The service was fast and adequate. Would recommend it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We visited this restaurant today. The food was excellent and very delicious, and the service was also good — we have no complaints about that at all. However, there were a few serious issues. First, we were automatically charged an 18% gratuity, and we were not given any option to choose the tip amount ourselves, which is not appropriate. We were honestly very shocked by this. When we left an additional $20 tip, the manager or owner seemed surprised and asked if we did not like the service. She also said that they do not pay their staff salaries and that they rely on tips. While we understand the tipping system in the U.S., this does not mean customers should be forced into paying a fixed amount or not given a choice. Additionally, it was very unprofessional that my husband was spoken about behind his back and described as rude and unattractive. He was actually very polite during the conversation; he simply expressed that he was not comfortable paying $40 in tips on top of the bill without having any choice. We understand that everyone wants to earn a living, but customers should still be treated with respect and given transparency and options. Will we come back again? No — even though the food and atmosphere were good

We would like to clarify that your party of 8 was subject to our 18% gratuity policy for parties of 5 or more, which is clearly stated on our menu. When concerns were raised, we removed the gratuity as a courtesy and let you to leave an amount of your choosing. We would also like to clarify that management never stated that our staff are not paid by the restaurant. If there was any misunderstanding during the conversation, we regret that. Additionally, your review states that an additional $20 tip was left. In fact, the automatic gratuity was removed at your request, and the $20 left was the total gratuity for the table. The discussion regarding the gratuity policy became uncomfortable due to differing expectations, but our intention was simply to explain our policy and answer your questions. We stand by our teams’s professionalism and appreciate your visit.

Rise Sushi has unfortunately taken a nosedive when it comes to their service. We arrived for a 6:30PM reservation at 6:25. Two parties ahead of us. By 6:35 no one had even come to the host stand so we went to the back of the restaurant to find the host. A gentleman said "I'm the host I have a question for my manager" and turned away from us. Once seated, someone brought water and no server came to our table. We said one person in our party was a bit late and they didn't understand that we needed extra water. Then a server finally came to take our order around 7:05PM. We were short a place setting and again had to get up to find someone to get it for us. Waters were never filled until the end of the meal as we were paying the check, and we had to ask another runner to find our server to even get the check. This meal should not take 2 hours but it did. I would not go back. The food was good, not great, and there are too many other options for asian cuisine in the area to make up for the terrible service here.
